Source – Dave “Vegas Dave” Oancea has bet some serious money on UFC fights in the past. At UFC 200 he’ll make what he’s calling “The biggest wager in sports betting history to be shown on paper,” when he best $1 million on UFC women’s bantamweight champion Miesha Tate to defeat Amanda Nunes.

Oancea has a history of big bets in MMA. In November he bet $20,000 on Holly Holm to beat Ronda Rousey. When Holm won that fight, Oancea pocketed $240,000.

He followed that bet with a $77,000 bet on Tate to defeat Holm at UFC 196. A fight that Tate came from behind to win via fifth round technical submission when Tate choked Holm unconscious. That bet won him $223,000.

TTT: I actually said whoa out loud when I read this article. Dave Oancea, better known as Vegas Dave, is betting ONE MILLION DOLLARS. That’s all you need to know really – the story could end there. It doesn’t even matter that he’s betting it on the UFC’s Women’s Bantamweight Champ Miesha Tate. The crux of the story is the amount of money being bet. He could be betting it on anything, it’s still a HUGE risk/reward.

Lets get into Miesha Tate. She’s a -270 favorite as of now, which is a sizable favorite and it’d be a bit of a surprise if she losses. But still. Vegas Dave seems to be locked into UFC betting. It looks like he’s been winning stacks of money lately, so I might just have to find a way myself to throw some dough on Tate.
